Project Life week #15…

This week is the most simple yet…just one page for the week…nothing much happened…

(I am sleeping a lot better now! It is wonderful!)

one of my mom’s friend’s son has down’s syndrome…he is a little older than me, the family were going to be out of town all day and Lloyd didn’t want to go so I stayed at their house with him…it was a super rainy day and we just stayed in with the dogs and I spread out and got a bunch of little scrapbook projects I’d been meaning to do for a while…Lloyd took a nap and watched TV and played video games in his room, he is a pretty low key guy which works well, cause I’m pretty low key relax on a Saturday kind of gal…

My friend’s daughters on Easter…they live in Portugal…below their picture is a Facebook post from their dad that CRACKED me up! They have been adopted by white parents with white families so when they come to visit I think they have noticed they are the only brown grandkids! They are coming to visit for a few weeks this summer and I can’t wait to spend time with them and their mom!

Trains…
they are loud, they back up traffic and they come through our small town CONSTANTLY…
if you aren’t stuck by one, you are hearing one blowing it’s ridiculously loud whistle!
I wanted to capture the beauty of the trains so I caught one going through the trees…DSCF1877

added some facts about trains to this picture

DSCF1876

the reality of trains in your town…being stopped…especially when you are late!

DSCF1878

I played with the color a lot of this picture for fun…this is my frustrated stuck by the train face…

DSCF1879

I printed all the train pictures out on 8.5x11 photo paper and used regular page protectors to add into my project life binder…

I went to Michael’s today…it is a rare treat…

I found exactly what I was looking for…this Snapshot Stack…it has the coolest papers in it…

DSCF1855DSCF1856DSCF1857DSCF1858DSCF1859

Then there were papers just of poloroids you could cut out to add to your layouts…as you can see I was so excited I had already cut them out…I can’t wait to play with them…I was also in luck because today the paper was 50% off, so I could use my 40% coupon on something else I had my eye on…

DSCF1860

Also, last week, I went to target (which is a rare treat) and bought their ‘washi’ tape, they call it printed paper tape and it is in the office section…the rolls come with A LOT on them and they are only four dollars for four rolls…I found stacks of reds, greens, and blues…

DSCF1862

also at my fun visits to the craft stores I found a bunch of great alphabet stickers on clearence so I bought a whole stack of a bunch of different colors and styles…I love that I know how a bit of an alphabet stash to go to…

DSCF1863

I also got a lot of embellishments on clearance…LOVE CLEARANCE! I now how a lot of embellishments to play with that I didn’t before and I paid less than half for it all…but I should only go to these stores twice a year cause I could get addicted…seriously! I am kind of grateful the stores are so far from me so I am not tempted to go very often…

I’ll be linking up at

Until Later…

Really loving your pages this week, they may be simple but they are fun! Love love the tree and the angle you took it!! I can soooo relate to the stopped train thing and the annoying horn of the trains too! That one of the train going thru the trees is amazing, love that.

WOW you scored big on your scrapping shopping trip, I need to get to Target!! Have fun playing with all your goodies.

Have a good week!

Love the train photos and also the stories of your visits to scrap shops - I just have to stay away from shops like that or I go crazy buying stuff!

You say simple. I say elegant!
Great week. I love the green journal labels. That 'frustration' photo of you is amazing. And I am totally hearting that photo stack of papers. Must research if I can track that down too. Have a good week!

What an awesome person you are to sit with the very handsome Lloyd. His family must simply adore you. And I am rather obsessed with those beautiful little girls. I keep trying to convince my DH that we need more kiddos, but he just laughs and laughs whenever I bring it up. Hrmpf!!

: ) Be blessed!
