State Art…and a GIVEAWAY!
While searching aimlessly on Pinterest
I found this treasure…
it is a collection of the 50 states and 15 other countries…these are available by the creator for free for personal use only…I feel in love with them from the first and decided they were the perfect fix for our front room dilemma
Here is the front room at Christmas…
and here is the front room after putting the postcard holder up…
and here it is NOW…
This is the fourth life for these 10x12 frames, years ago I bought them with stock photos I really liked, then I covered those up with enlargements of photographs I had taken of church steeples…then I covered those for this Christmas… and now they house the states…
I have really gotten my money out of these frames haven’t I?
Anyway, I pulled out the TON of old gift wrap tissue I have hiding in the closet, picked up a roll of brown paper for $1.50 and
as the kids say…‘went to town.’
Here is Indiana cause you know I live there…
Australia (my brother’s pick)…
Alaska (my mom’s pick) cause we think it would be nice to go on an Alaskan cruise someday…
and Kentucky cause that is where I was born and where my dad’s side of the family is from…
I chose to leave the glass out of the frames for this project because the tissue paper had some dimension and I didn’t want to loose that effect…
What do you think? It is definitely a change but I like the fresh look of it!
I would like to giveaway a print of your choice, framed (without glass) and decorated like the above pictures…it might even be better than the ones above…I seriously spent only 10 minutes doing them all…
I like to keep my giveaways simple…you don’t have to follow my blog to win (unless of course you like what you see) you don’t have to blog about the giveaway, you don’t have to twitter (cause I don’t tweet) and you don’t have to call your grandma and whisper the code word, which is BANANA in case you were wondering…
just leave me a comment telling me what you think about the project and which one of the 65 states or countries you would like if you win…the giveaway ends Sunday April 1st…
Until Later…

Those are so fun!! I live in FLORIDA so I'd definitely choose that one. In fact, all of my family and husband's family is from here and lives here. Makes it nice for baby sitters. :-) And don't you just love kraft paper?!? I love it. You can pair it with anything!! Thanks for the giveaway.
